I take it that staying logged in and answering the phone or getting a drink, even bathroom break, effect your search time and behavior, while your screen is idle if on a movie!!!
I also go to events to check something I clicked on, even going back to look at a movie!!!
So, now I log out and back in even for a bathroom break!!!

Some Help Tips???

Post by Howie »

Hi All,

Since the cheating thing was cleared up and remarks and tips about speed and so on,,,
I have been clicking on a few more movies, because I have now been viewing the movies at a 125% screen size and if I was viewing at normal 100% size, I would have never noticed a possible track!!!
The very small dot appears quite below or past the bad focus surface as do the calibration tracks!!!

At normal size, I did not see it when I switch back and forth!!!
Anyone else notice this???

For some of you that could use a little help learning the process,

When you think you found a track...
Focus just before and just after the clear surface mark...
Backing up to just before clear suface mark, it will have a white center,
Just after the below surface mark it will get blurred and also look a bit white before blurr, without getting a distinct circle track mark,
IT is Not a Track!!!

Two Questions...

1. The very bright white holes I undersatand is the light coming from under the sample,,,meaning it is a hole right thru!!! What caused this, a track???

2 Many movies have all the larger junk pieces that are so noticeable, what are they on the surface and could a track be viewable in all that mess???

Thank You All

Howie,

The tracks on the calib. movies are an indication on what to look for. Tracks in the real movies should look like them but may diviate in appearance. Don't think black/white while viewing.

The bright spots are light reflections on the top of the gel, no holes there.

Did you study the tutorial? If so you know what the blobs on the surface are.

Please search the forum on issues you find before postin a new thread and explain why you want people to look at certain posts.
