Hey Atus,
I clicked that same spot:http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... e_id=47027
Now that I look at it again, you have to click it. From the particle to the right and top, that looks like the surface?
We'll find out for sure later.
Thanks,
fjgiie

I feel pretty good about this one
Only 5 of 44 people noticed this?

Upper-left middle. A top-left to bottom-right diagonal track of varying depth with a black dot at the deep end.

Or perhaps only 5 out of 44 people marked it. This movie shows an unlevel surface where the top left comes into focus first and the bottom half never does get into focus. The line you point out appears to be a scratch on the surface.AX2DEN wrote:Only 5 of 44 people noticed this?

Well this is no fun, then. . .dbririe wrote:Or perhaps only 5 out of 44 people marked it. This movie shows an unlevel surface where the top left comes into focus first and the bottom half never does get into focus. The line you point out appears to be a scratch on the surface.
Aloha all,
I was the first to potentially find a track in this movie. So far out of 66 viewings 42 have agreed with me. I would like to know what others think.

Ad to your movie: I would have flagged it too but there´s a problem with focusing on surface (flexed). Left half of the image is obviously in higher position than the right one and when you focus on surface on the right half you´ll see that this possible track is on the surface level. Hard to say because we´re out of focus now and dont know what is below.
Well... I think the opposite is true. The right-top part of the picture is already below the surface, and it just goes deeper. You can see 4 blury circle at first, then they become blurier, and wanquish. In the meantime, the 'object' comes to focus, and even 'splits' into 2 piece. In the last picture, the 'big' O has a very smal dot on itst top just a little right from the top-middle of the O.
what are you guys thinking about this one?

I think it is an out of focus movie, the surface is somewhere at the last slide. My thumb rule is when something is sharp on the surface, it is almost surely not a track. But who knows?benj1989 wrote:what are you guys thinking about this one?

I really like this one... there are three tiny dots that appear under the surface. One is near the middle and the other two are in the lower left quadrant.
