and, Anna, yeah, nice impact.
I read somewhere that those tracks are more likely seconrdary slow impacts, either form the solar panel or from this solar system (as opposed to extrasolar). Could s.o. comment on that at this early stage?

Hi,
I've been dusting for a while, and this is the first movie I wanted all your thoughts on :-

I know none of the examples show bent tracks but we were asked to expect the unexpected! Does this look like a trail beneath the surface to you? Only 9 viewers so far and only me who thought so!
I'm really enjoying this!

What goes "Pieces of seven, pieces of seven"? A Parrotty error.

Wow, nice eye! I spent 2 mins finding the slightly discolored "tunnel". I think it's most definitely a tracknaomiw wrote:Hi,

This movie looks like a track on the left, but it looks like the track ends in a crack in the aerogel. The way I am imagining this is that the impact of the track goes from the top of the picture down at an angle and ends in a bog gray splotch. I am probably wrong, but what do you all think?

Thanks Exir! It's great that someone else agrees! My Sony Laptop display shows this up quite clearly, but the count is now up to 18 and no-one else has spotted it! I realise it is not the "vertical" kind of track we are all hoping for, but there is definitely a trail that is coming into focus below the surface, so I'm sure it is worth further consideration and I'm rather worried that it won't get looked at if I'm the only one.Exir wrote:Wow, nice eye! Has anyone spotted a statement anywhere which confirms that ALL positive clicks will be investigated, no matter how long it takes? I don't mind if there is a very long delay - I just want to be sure it is not ignored. I know other people have said the same about some of their events.
It really is wonderful to be part of this project!

Here's another with very low confirmations (16/155) that looks interesting, 2787987V1. It's a shame the focus is so shallow, but to my eye a circular feature in the lower-left corner is still coming into focus at the bottom of the focal range while the local surface is just going out of focus.

I'm not seeing it either. Anything that appears to be "coming into focus below the surface" also appears when you focus all the way up. So its pretty confusing. I think its a shallow surface trough.naomiw wrote:Thanks Exir! It's great that someone else agrees! No. I've not seen that.naomiw wrote: Has anyone spotted a statement anywhere which confirms that ALL positive clicks will be investigated,
With 12000+ volunteers, some clicking at random, it seems unlikely that
anything that never gets another vote will get much attention. Heck, I've got things in my event list that even I can't imagine why I clicked it...

Me too! I wish I could go back through my list and remove those ones. And there are a lot I know are just inclusions. But this one is different. Apart from all the obvious surface scratches there is a grey smudge in the bottom left quadrant which I agree is visible at the surface but gets narrower as you go down. However there is also a diagonal trail (with two edges) from the bottom left corner to the bottom of the grey smudge which only appears in the bottom quarter of the focus range. That's what I think is interesting! I just hope that someone from the Stardust team has time to take a look - then I won't mind if they say it is not.

Not sure but,
I think this was posted as a possible track!!! Howiealexz wrote:I agree, it's very interesting.Rojer wrote:If someone report this interesting one?

Hi All,
I feel the same way, and I have quite a list,,,BUT,,,
I only have a few that I am the only one and quite a large group I clicked and many others also clicked, so???
The heck with my scores and, by the way,
I have 1 first cut,,,
3 that are bad focus, and
a couple of those inclusions and,
one not terrestrial!!
Cool with me, one may be the one I find and helping the others that found it first!!!

I´d guess, it is a possible track.
Therefore, I suggested Rojer, who posted that sample to the "funny, interesting ... thread" recently, to re-post it here.

I gotta live one...
I'm not nervous about clicking on anomalies, and this one sure looks like an ovoid track at the bottom of the focus.

Good you clicked it. Its just odd enough to require checking out.Louis Wu wrote:I'm not nervous about clicking on anomalies, and this one sure looks like an ovoid track at the bottom of the focus.
