There's a dust particle on the camera's lens, near the bottom. It's kind of fuzzy. Once the movie loads completely, focus down and keep your eye on the dust particle. When you almost completely focus in, you'll see something seem to start to focus right beside (on the left) of the camera dust. It's kind of small, and pretty fuzzy still. Perhaps if the camera could focus down a little more, it would become more noticeable. When you focus up and down quickly, it becomes a lot more apparent.

Take a look. Does anyone agree with me?

What Am I Seeing Here?

Post by 3phillips »

What do you think about the two specks that don't focus with the rest? I know they're not trails but I wonder what other folks see: http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... =6123905V1

IMO, probably inclusions, but closer to the surface than the others I've seen.

Umm... I don't see any track. I believe the thing that looks like a track in the top right is actually dust on the surface.

I agree with jcbc; the track-like blob comes into focus and goes out of focus at the same time as all the other dust on the surface, so is probably something lying on the surface.
That said the two most clicked on movies that have been taken to further review look similar, except the surfaces on those movies look more tilted.

All the best

Very true. I found that somewhat odd; I hope they tell us soon their official opinion on those. I wouldn't want to be skipping over things they actually want me to flag.

5 tracks

Post by sub212 »

Hello everybody.
There seem to be about 5 mpact tracks in this movie.
Will the first one to have seen them get credit for all five, or will others who chose a different spot first get accreditation, too?

please compare your find to those. I´ve got 6 of those already officially commented (inclusions):
Movie 8623676V1 168 82 Not Extraterrestrial inclusions

Movie 9588567V1 152 66 Not Extraterrestrial inclusion

....
I think your one is very similar
Good luck,

It doesn't come into focus so it's very deep in the gel, but it looks very much like a track. Only four people have clicked it so far though, out of 146.
I cannot believe it! What is wrong about it to click on this movie?! There IS something like a track rather deep below the surface - only still out of focus.

Today I just saw and clicked it too... 150 / 5 :?: / Indeterminate
