Thanks McAngus for that convincing evidence in support of my hypothesis that ancient symbology was embedded in the aerogel by who-knows-who-or-what-or-why.
Responding to Evelyn's post about 5 years ago concerning a large, perfectly circular aerogel artefact with central blob (no longer available), I followed hers up with this. My second image in that post of Egyptian sun-god Ra rings loud bells with your Ahkenaten imprint:
