What has happened to " zuben the genubi "? and ot

Post by YOMAR_II »

.....He has 7712 of escore for days

other things;
1)somebody knows when stardust@home will finish?
2)if there are thousands of movies available, because sometimes I see some repeated ones (as much real movies as of calibration)?
3)that proportion of real movies has by each movie of calibration? mine it is of 3:1

pardon my English, thanks

Ask Zuben.....

1) S@H will finish when all tiles are processed. Keep an eye on the "picture perfect" to follow progress.
2)There are almost 6000 movies per tile but also a lot of users scanning them, so yes you will get the same movie sometimes. Also the number off calib. movies is significant lower so they will appear multiple times.
3)real versus calib. is between 4:1 and 3:1 depending on the number of bad focus clicks you make.

Thank you for answering me. I was referring when we will stop seeing movies and using the virtual microscope.

Thank you again.

When was the "picture perfect" last updated? Looks like it's quite old.

If you look on the bottom of the page Dr. Butterworth posts the date of the last time it was updated.

Why the difference with bad focus? Bad Focus doesnt count?

It is just because the bad focus doesn't count.
The ratio of calib. versus real is about 1:4
However a bad focus movies does not increase your number of real movies viewed. So if you get a lot of them, the ratio as shown in your counted numbers tends to shift from 1:4 to 1:3.
