I just got my first error on a calibration movie. While that is a slight slap to the ego, I'm more concerned about how it appeared. There was no indication on the surface, the track only began to appear several layers below the surface. My assumption has been that a particle will form a crater at the surface, which then proceeds below the surface. Is there a circumstance where a particle would only begin to show up subsurface? I assumed the track was a subsurface flaw in the aerogel, or should I think "outside the box?"
