Re: SALT WATER ON MARS
Indeed, Augusto. Obviously some form of flatfish, since the reservoir may be rather shallow - O "Sole" Mio!
Re: SALT WATER ON MARS
Dear Mike,
well, well, well!
You have pointed out another case of identical form of writing or of sound
(but with different meanings) existing between English and Italian language.
De facto the word "sole" for you is a flatfish, for me is "sun".
I, before starting the last telecon, pointed out that your sound for the word "Hi" (Italian "Ciao") has the same sound of the Italian "Ahi" (in English "Ouch").
Your word "fine" has many meanings for me: "smart", "subtle", "end", "purpose" etc.
And, funny, the word "ape" for you is a monkey but for me is a bee.
To be continued?
For the second time I wonder if both of us have also the task of propagate culture.

Re: SALT WATER ON MARS
Now that you mention it, Augusto, in English an apiary is a place where bees are kept, an apiarist is someone who keeps bees, so why do we call them bees anyway? Well, whether or not there are any fishy critters on Mars, I'm pretty sure we'll find no api or bees. Best,
Mike
