Other Citizen Science Projects?

Post by DanZ »

Greetings Dusters!

I'm curious how many of you are participating in other "citizen science" projects like Stardust@home. I see in previous posts that some of you are (or have been) part of Galaxy Zoo. Are there any others you are involved in (including non-astronomy ones)? If so, please let us know about the program and why you like it. By the way, a good resource for finding projects like these can be found at http://www.scienceforcitizens.net/.

Cheers!

Not at this time, Dan. I had hoped to participate in one between Stardust Phases II & III that I'd read about a couple years back, searching satellite images to flag potential fossil dig sites in Africa, but I didn't save the information on the project and could not find it when I went looking for it. Thanks for the reference.

Glad it helped Mike. Here's another you might check out: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/citscitoolkit/projects (and it's not just about birds!)
