I would like to thank Stardust for the fantastic plaque they just sent me for phase one, for being in the top of the list!
It even included a sealed sample of aerogel on the plaque! Very well made!

Hi All! I too would like to say Thank You for the plaque...it really is spectacular...especially
with the Aero Gel! My boy asked if the sample was from the spacecraft and has been "out there"...
so I thought I would ask?

No, it was not out there! It is a sample.
Look just under the sample. The printing tells you.
And if you open it it will be ruined and or will dis-appear!

Hi Howie! I read the info below the sample and it does say that the sample was made at the JPL
...same as gel flown on Stardust. I did'nt pick up on the "same as" on the first pass. Thanks for the
pointer!

Dear Kevin and Howie,

We're so glad you like the plaques - you definitely deserve them!

For those who don't know, we sent award plaques to the Top 50 scorers in Phases One and Two as a special thanks to those who really hammered away at the project in the early years. We wish we could have sent one to everyone, or at the very least the Top 100 scorers, but finding that sort of funding is very difficult and so we did what we could. Nonetheless, a very special thanks should (and does!) go out to everyone involved in the project.

Enjoy gentlemen, and good luck in your continued search for stardust!
