Even better, why not stick with Zack's usage of the shorter vernacular term 'crud', standing here of course for 'CleanRoom Undesirable Debris'!

Regarding 'picotools' my long-time favourite has to be Mikey's wrench.

Great!
Thank you very much, jsmaje, for completing my poor and fragmentary suggestion!
CRUD: 'Clean Room Undesirable Debris'
An abbreviation, profound, not too short, ambiguous, mystic ... In other words:
This term perfectly complies with the scientific (bad) habit to express almost everything in the form of abbreviations under the pretext of objectivity, as we learned here and could as well help to fill in some blank in volunteers' "My events" pages.

Hello,
I had the same sort of 'black blur', on another movie, but with a good focus and this is a very strong particule (from space ? oh yes, certainly  )
There are two little particules showing the ground of the gel, and at the lower focus... see by yourself (I validated the dust presence)

Very odd film with "smoke"

Post by dannyhcox »

Film 2218417V1 seems fairly well focused, but seems to have a large amount of what I can only describe as smoke in the right side of the film.

It can be partially focused on so I suspect it's contained withing the aerogel. It alsost looks like grey contaminate poweder at the mid to lower levels of the film. There appear solid particles below the "smoke" but I am not convinced there is anything to this.

Any ideas?

Got me stumped.

Regards,
Danny

Shedding some light on the issue...

Now I understand what Bryan was talking about when he mentioned the new lighting technique - take a look at the new lighting feature in this one...

ID=233531V1

They're using imbedded flourescent light fixtures!

Wonder what outlet they use for such a tiny plug, tho.......

This one must be burned out ! The movie sure is dark.
