'contrast controll','nothing there'button?about focus range?

Post by alan2here »

Could we have a contrast slider, and a button to click if the image is just all one shade of grey, in thease cases it is immposible to know whether it is out of focus or there is just nothing there.

Also unless the forus range goes a long way into the materal we can't find large\fast particles that have made deep holes, should we click out of focus if the surface focus is quite neer the bottem of the slider?

Hi Alan,

Please see When should I use the "Bad Focus" button?

Here http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... .php?t=645

Other questions answered there in FAQ.

Thanks,

Hi Alan!

Those are bad focus for sure! There is no way to tell what is going on. Since you can't tell where the surface is, or even see anything on the movie, there is no way to know what you are looking at. There are a few of them out there like that.

Does that help?
