And there are indeed many bad focus movies that are CM's in my epperience anyway
Counts in what way? I tried it on a postive CM, instead of clicking anything I switched to the my account page and switched back, I had a new movie and my CM scores and the total real movies viewed had not changed.

And I've never seen my score go up after clicking bad focus, and I've never been marked wrong for clicking bad focus. Maybe your standard of good focus is higher then mine. As long as it has at least 5 bars below the surface that's good enough for me.

Bad Focus CM's and Punting or Passing

Post by fjgiie »

Here is a negative CM where the focus is questionable:

This link has been shortened to keep this page from getting too wide,
and you need to be logged in to the VM to see the movie.

Sometimes one of those positive CM's come up and you cannot find the track. You would like to pass on it or punt. I have clicked the "back" button and then the "go to a new movie" line with no bad points. And of course going to another page like "Community" and then "Virtual Microscope" has never given any bad points to me.

Interesting. I've timed out (had to log back in) because a customer came in or a phone call, or whatever. and there was a CM on the screen. when I log back in. my bad count went up one. granted it was one with a clearly visible track. This happened about 6 times to me. but 6 out of 74 isn't too bad. So I conclude that I just got the bad luck and you got the good luck

WorWizard, just where is that button? I mean, there are many times I wish I could click that! But that would be a real cop out, wouldn't it? Either you judge something of interest or you don't. And I think that is exactly what you are saying here!
If you look on the screen of the microscope, there is not an actual button. I ment that if you click the bad focus, since is doen't count, it's a pass.....so to speak.

so no. I re-read what I wrote and that doesn't seem to say what you think. Just an interpertation problem I suppose. No cop-outs here. never implied that. sorry you didn't understand me.

That is a real movie, not a CM.

I thought that because. on that one movie. I clicked "Bad Focus" and my "Calibration Movies Answered Correctly" incremented by one. I am at loss to elabotate on my opinion further. Actually I am now hopelessly confused.
