Yep that's one of the many mysteries of the gel. It's a fairly common feature, although you noticed them a lot more often in phase 1 when you were zoomed back farther and could get a better overview of what you were looking at.

We had a discussion about what they could be in the "is this a track topic" a long time ago. It's buried now, I don't know where. There were several possible explanations given, I think mine was that they were caused by water condensation or some other liquid on the gel that left an imprint when it evaporated. I thought of liquid because dirt seems to collect at the bottom of them as if it had drained there.

Am I doing something wrong by just clicking everything that is getting more into focus under the surface?

Wow!!! If that's NOT a track, then I've been wasting a whole lot of my time.

I believe that is the same one from the Alpha List with a different number:

You're right, that's the same spot. The focus depth is slightly different, but that's apparently the same feature. Will it be also added to the alpha list?

Now there are seven versions of this movie. :D
5492352V1 - 8153179V1 - 7933874V1 - 6460285V1.
3059039V1 - 2965266V1
9040053V1

Plus the whole track by greuti, and Anna Butterworth's comment.

Yes, that one will also be added.

Hi Rojer.

The one you found reminds me of this: 237326V1 (50, 320).

And it looks pretty much like a track to me.
