Tag holes entirely through the aerogel
Hello Bryan,
My screen name is aqueous.
Do you want us to tag holes that go completely through
the gel? I have been tagging them (esp when
symmetrical) as they may have debris left from a
particle.
Thank you for your time

Holes that go through the gel? You mean like "it is in focus all the way" including above the surface?
You may have clicked on a "hole" generated by a dust speck on the microscope: most movies have one or two at the upper left corner.
I think there is an example of this in the Tutorial or in the examples (link in the VM).
Of course when it starts at the surface it could be a real hole...

See the universe in a grain of dust...
nono, he means the really bright spots where you can tell that the light from the microscope stage lamp is coming through a hole in the aerogel. we know about the 4 dust spots... 3 obvious ones and one that could be just a tiny smudge.

for example, this movie appears to have a hole all the way through: movie 27157

Hi all, sorry to confuse you.
I had hoped to be able to answer aqueous more completely sooner, but you all are keeping me really busy, and it is the weekend...
Anyway, I meant yes if it actually appeared to be such a hole. But, in order to know if what aqueous saw was a hole or not we need to see the ID # of the movie in question. The movies people have been referencing here all appear to be reflective dust on the aerogel surface as described in the tutorial.
Also, this thread would be more appropriate in the Discussion forum, thus I am moving it there.
