Hello fellow dusters, I have another obligation on the 21st and will not be able to join the next telecon. Will one of you post a synopsis of the event so we don't miss the important issues discussed? It the subject comes up, I am curious why the particles captured in the foil appear to be different in composition compared to those we've found in aerogel? Seems to me that they should be similar since they were from the "same source." Evelyn, ERSTRS

Hi Everyone. I've been meaning to post highly edited versions of the recordings of the monthly telecons on the home page, but so far haven't been able to carve out enough time for that. So, in the meantime, feel free to view and listen to these quickly edited, mostly in their entirety versions via the links below. And if you think these are good enough, please let me know. That way I'll know I can get them up much quicker! Dan

Dan, I checked out the latest telecon and it seems just fine, I don't think you need to worry about editing any more than you already did. It's easy for folks to skip ahead over any part not of interest to them. (It seems I'll have to try to speak a bit louder next time, though.) I'll check out the earlier ones later. Thanks for making the effort to post these.

Good morning, Dr. Westphal, Dr. Zack, and Mike, I finally took time to listen to the May 24 Telecon. Thank you for Posting it live---an excellent idea! I laughed at your comment about my question: I am curious why the particles captured in the foil appear to be different in composition compared to those we've found in aerogel? Seems to me that they should be similar since they were from the "same source." Your answer, "We don't know" --- and "It's an outstanding mystery," is appreciated. You know, way back in 2006 when I joined the Dusting Team, hunting teensy little dust particles from space was my primary interest. Eight years later, I am amazed at how very complicated the Stardust@home experiment has become. As a result, our project is answering some world-wide mysteries---that no one had even thought of before we began! Please continue to post the Third Thursday Telecons, so we can listen at our leisure. I am proud to be a member of the Stardust@home Team. Evelyn, SmithES, ERSTRS

Greetings Everyone!

I sincerely apologize for the oh so late notice here, but our team is hosting the 78th Annual Meeting of the Meteoritical Society this month and are going a bit nuts! Nevertheless, we plan to *KEEP* the telecon for this month, which will be held tomorrow (Thursday, July 16, 2015) at the usual 11am Pacific Time, and you can join in the usual way, by dialing 1-866-740-1260. Once you connect, please enter the passcode 6422969 followed by the # (pound) key when prompted. Also, please join online too for visuals by going to http://www.readytalk.com and entering 6422969 where it says "PARTICIPANT, Join a Conference."

Please note, however, that because of our team's extra duties this month, we will have a special guest speaker from the Space Sciences Laboratory. Name and topic will be announced here shortly.

Finally, as always, if you need a number from outside the US, please enter 6422969 here to retrieve the correct phone number to dial. You may also want to double check your corresponding timezone time here.

Thanks - we look forward to speaking with you soon!

Dan

Fellow dusters, I just want to encourage you to listen to Dr. Andrew Westphal's brief but very interesting update from the September 17th telecon as soon as it's posted. There's an especially intriguing surprise toward the end. Best regards,
