Now there is a new twist. I just got 4 point miss. I checked it at the link from My Events page and it was a totally different movie. HUM

The frame
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 8&theY=251
shows what looks like two apparent tracks, which cannot be right. I've missed it twice now because the posted coordinates seem to fall squarely between the two (who knew?).

I thought the recent down time was intended to fix this sort of problem. Wonder if the team is aware it's still an issue.

Now that I have composed myself Elaine, I can respond to your last entry. I very must enjoyed your dust on your screen problem. In fact I have at times wiped off a spot on my monitor in case it was not a part of the movie. When I was in the Navy they were teaching us Morse Code and after a few hours of that some of us would get "dit happy" and start hearing things which were not there. Now doing this I find the same thing happening with what I see on the monitor. Time for a break and a walk around the block.

Regarding dust on the screen, this new machine of ours has a touch screen. More than twice I've gone to wipe off an apparent bit of dust and had that result in spurious additions to my events log or a missed power movie. Guess I'd better read up on how to turn off the dang touch screen feature! We're still having fun though, right?

The above 4 movies all have the same track in different locations and each movie has a different target point on the track to designate the correct point to select it for scoring.

Thanks for the report. Here are my comments:

http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 0&theY=222 (coordinates are correct = location of where to click on track at deepest focus)
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 2&theY=120 (X coordinate is off the frame - we will remove from database)
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... rds=?-1,-1 (not sure, did you miss this one?)
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... 9&theY=120 (coordinates are correct = location of where to click on track at deepest focus)

Dan, I noticed that cometary track 8516644 was rated a "10" by the Berkeley Team but labeled a "fiducial." Is that correct? Do we have cometary fiducial marks? Regards,

Yes, and we have been rating all the fiducials as a “10”, because they are consistent in morphology with tracks, and thus just the kind of thing that we should be identifying on Stardust@home, but in the comments noting that they are fiducials. If I find out more, I'll post it here.
