Where to click.

Post by randi »

In the tutorial it says:
To identify a track (this is really important) click on the deepest part of it that you can see, even if it is out of focus.
It would be very helpful if you would mark the spot where we should click. Does the level matter, or is it just the (x,y) position?

I just had a calibration movie (2035224VI) that had an obvious track. I clicked on what appeared to be the clear end of the track - opposite from the crater. However, my response was counted wrong for sensitivity. Should I have focused all the way down even though it was very, very out of focus and harder to determine the end?

Thanks,
Randi

P.S. Actually, there appeared to be two independent craters. Perhaps that was part of my problem. I just saw a very similar track in 8994225VI. I hate to lose points for "missing" a track when my mistake is clicking on the wrong place. Thanks again.

I alway try to focus down to the actual particle or where it should be and click on that spot. Never had an issue doing this.
