Vitual Microsocpe Useage Improvement Request...

Post by busyweb »

Hello...
To Stardust@home admin...
I've been using VM(Virtual Microscope) since yesterday,
I mean ONE DAY usage, and having problem with my hand,
because of the location of VM Zoom Blue Bar.
Its hard to move mouse UP/DOWN for a long period of time on the
same location, and it gives some pain on my hand muscles.
I think that its better if Zoom Bar is in the botton of the Movies.
Using mouse with LEFT/RIGHT movement is easier to me(? or others too).
Some may prefer to use UP/DOWN movement,
but in my pratice with mouse I like to use LEFT/RIGHT movement usage.
Would you consider to locate Zoom Blue Bar in the bottom of the movies?
Or in both Right side and Bottom side,
so that people can have choice.
In my opinion LEFT/RIGHT movement gives more performance to search Stardust....
My 2Cents..

with the risk of stating the obvious i would suggest looking for another mouse system, trackball or special anti-rsi mouse will do more for your muscles then web redesign.

Might want to try increasing your mouse sensitivity or "speed" in its settings. So you can move the cursor very far up and down without moving your hand hardly at all.

Turn your mouse 90 degrees. Left / right mouse motion now produces up / down cursor movement. :)

Great idea!!! However, I think it will only work for those that have the little ball. Optical or laser won't track the same.
