Boy is my family getting an education in "alternative" music!

I'm flattered to be mentioned, actually, the cable is fixed (it was lying in my crawlspace and would short when it got wet). Now I'm running in safe mode trying to find an internal problem. Sigh....

Another One Bites The Dust

Post by fjgiie »

Try this. :)
Another One Bites The Dust - OR O Sole Mio by Russell Watson (or whatever he is singing. :)

If you really want something heavy and beautiful then listen to Pavarotti - Nessun Dorma

Song Parody

Post by DustBuster »

Alright, I had to do another parody- mostly to keep from going insane, hopefully to bring some levity. This one's dedicated to the aerogel; our faithful servant. WARNING: If you are an AC/DC fan I suggest you look away now as the following may ruin this song for the rest of your life!

My Ode to Aerogel

(sung to the tune of AC/DC's Highway to Hell)

Almost nothin’, far from free
Guinness record for low density
Been through lift-off, zero-g
Took a trip around the galaxy

Ain’t no window- Insulator;
I’ll tell you what I’d rather do
Catch some dust, and particles
Ride the comet tail of Wild2

I’m a high-rated gel (X4)

No high-tech, equipment
I’m only gonna slow ‘em down
Like a carrot, deep within it
Leaves a track that’s big and round

I ain’t sayin’, you’ll find two
Baby, wouldn’t that be grand?
Dr. Jones; you and me-
We’ll change the world with a grain of sand

I’m a high-rated gel (X4)
(Don't stop me)
SOLO
CHORUS
You gotta focus down, all the way
I am a high-rated gel.
No dessert for you- ONE MONTH!

Dustbuster!

My son is an AC/DC fan! But he's only 9 and has no idea what the real lyrics are (can't understand the singing!). I'm going to try my best to learn it this way and start singing it to the music around him. Wouldn't it be great if he learns these lyrics first! Yeah, I know, years of counseling for him afterwards, but it'd be worth it!

Thanks for that one!

How about StarDust Bumber stickers:

"So little dust, so much time"

"I dust, you dust, we all search for Stardust"

"Duster on board"

Any others?

Theme song for StarDust

Theme song for StarDust

Thanks to Pink Floyd

Comfortably Numb

Come on, now.
I hear youre feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.

Relax.
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts:
Can you show me where it hurts?

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin.
When I was a child I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I got that feeling once again.
I cant explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.

Ok.
Just a little pinprick. [ping]
Therell be no more --aaaaaahhhhh!
But you may feel a little sick.

Can you stand up?
I do believe its working. good.
Thatll keep you going for the show.
Come on its time to go.

There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move but I cant hear what youre sayin.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child is grown, the dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

Astronomers work from sun to sun,
But a Dusters work is never done.
Everything reminds me of everything else
