Phase#1 of this research has been fun for me. I remembered I chuckled at the phrase "If your not having fun, then your not doing it right" it sounded so corny to me at first and then I realized and not far into it either that I was indeed having "fun" I met a wonderful friend, Evelyn (ERSTRS) from West Virginia amongst other fine people. I look forward to Phase #2

Oh, fjgiie, You have brought tears to my eyes. That flower is so beautiful, I'll copy it off and keep it with my Stardust files. I have my daily records since August 11, 2006 and plan to make a scrapbook of them. Your contributions to the Forums have been a great help to me, and they will go into my scrapbook, too. The flower you sent me will go on the front of the book.

I have enjoyed this project enormously and I, too, have made a long-distance friend, wonderdogxyz in Kansas City (who really deserves to be considered #1 in the rankings). I wish the Stardust Team great success. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and other committments, I won't be able to participate into Phase 2. But I hope that every duster will find a piece of a star!!

I like your idea, georingo, to continue this thread as a quality challenge. Since this is a community thread I would like to share my personal impressions from the first days of phase II.

I missed 10 +CMs so far.
3 were due to VM glitches I still believe (maybe only one, this is under investigation).
1 I got because I refused to click on something I thought was a crumb, buried under the surface
6 more I missed were those new "tracklike walking dots" or tiny "2px-3D-dots" poking in (or on ?!) the gel.
On the other side my event list fills up alarmingly with those "tracklikes". Most of them I believe are inclusions and / or clicked accidentally, thinking they were +CMs. And No, this did not happen due to speed (which is generally much slower now) or due to a lack of concentration. I look on every movie very carefully before I flag it.

So phase II (re-)calibration process works. The good thing is: dusters will definitely not miss one single track (if not in a bad focus movie). The bad: scientists will have to go through very very much maybees I guess.

My personal goal for phase II was to be much more critical flagging movies. As fjgiie implies it now tends toward the opposite. I don't know if this was intended. Maybe I am too concerned about my accuracy and should consistently click "no track" on every movie I think there is no track (including some +CMs).

My stats until now () (fixed while away on leave)

I wasn't in phase I and just started II about 3 days ago. Was almost completely at the bottom of the list. I was pretty lousy at first but hope to get even better at this :)
