Planet hunting seems a lot like stardusting. S@H and Astronomical League's Terry Mann (also one of our dusters) mentioned on page 2.

The view of the comet here at Space Sciences Laboratory was truly spectactular. I'm sure it put on a special screening just for us since it knew we would appreciate it.

Ken Tatebe (two doors down the hall) took some AWESOME photos of Comet McNaught using his digital camera and a very high quality zoom lens.

It really puts things in perspective doesn't it?

Very cool pictures! I tried to see it, but we had nothing but overcast mornings and evenings (days too) in wintery Indiana.

Yeah, cool pictures! Had the luck to watch it here one times (during a wonderful sunset) - after a week of rain and twice clouds just only around the horizon.

But it presents the real show only now in the southern hemisphere:

Hello everyone,

I haven't posted for a while - too busy stardusting, but had to drop a line about the comet. This is the 3rd evening that has been clear enough to observe it and believe me it's been putting on a stunning show here in Johannesburg! My only regret is that I don't have the equipment to photograph it

I can also inform the northerners that not only do the southerners like Michelle get a great view, they have nice warm weather to see it in as well! {{{sigh}}} There will be others!

Oh yes. But problem is extremly bad wheater here in Slovenia.

However Amricans will also have total eclipe in 28th August.

Just minutes ago the clouds cleared a little and the moon was coming out of the earth's shadow. There was a bright crescent on lower side and a little lower left. We had those snow clouds and you could not see anything until now. 7:25 EST. pretty

The weather here was gracious enough this time to clear up just before it began. It was nice, during the full eclipse we saw him shining like an embers amidst impressive canopy of stars.

It would be cool to have once someone on the Moon to deliver pictures from the other side.
