Today:

I also want to report that there are lots and lots of Bad Focus movies. The last 100 RM's I saw, 20% was BadFocus. I did get the impression that a lot of these are the left-upper part (of 50-micron)of the old movies.
Hello marcia,

Thank you for the report of not loading movies. We'll try to figure it out.

The best way to report on the bad focus movies is simply to mark them as "bad focus". That lets us know that we need to go back and rescan that field of view.

Thanks again,
-Bryan

Hi marcia,

Thank you again for your reports. Please see this post about the missed CM:
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... &start=291

The one you missed seems to be just like the one described there. So it is going on my "exclude" list.

Thanks again,
Bryan

I'm not really sure where to post this...I've already posted it under the "I found a cute, funny...." thread. This movie has a very large box over the darkest portion of the slide. I clicked "no track" and my score did not change, so I assume it's a real movie. So why the box? Did someone forget to put in the track?

Hi Elaine,

Yes, that is a real movie. I think the box in this case is jpeg compression effect, and is different from the other boxes poorly composited into blank fields to create positive CMs. That is an abnormally large black splotch and consistently black over much of its area. Pictures with that kind of feature in it will often suffer from pixelazation when they are compressed far enough.

Thanks for the report,
-Bryan

Hi John,

The database recorded that you clicked at coordinates 0,0 and hence marked you off for that CM. Is it possible that something strange was happening with your mouse at the time of the click?

In the future, please posts such as this in this forum thread:
http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... php?t=1094

Thanks,
