Here's another problem... again it's the first time I've encountered this in >42k viewings. The scanner seems to be jittering a lot more than it is actually changing focus. I hope it's not the first of another bunch of problem scans.

Weird - never seen that so far. Do you think there was an earthquake going on at the time?
More common in my experience is jittery lighting, such as with1153609V1, as though the bulb was sputtering (?spluttering) before finally blowing.
