Same movie over and over again

Post by rlund »

I have encountered the movie 8013178V1 countless times while dusting today. Like every 5th or 6th movie. It is a calibration movie to boot. Anyone else seeing that issue?

10 out of 30 cal. movies for me. I believe it is the only non-track cal. movie I have seen.

I have also gotten this movie 2 or 3 times in a row. This just started happening for me, as of today. Prior to today, my movies were much more random, including several "no track" calibration movies that were different from this one. I can tell when it's coming too because it is still cached and it loads immediately.

Over 25 times in 1 hour

This movie also gives you a point I just realized!!!

There is something funny going on here...I viewed many new movies today and added about 15 to my events, with definate chances and agrees by others and very low view persons, yet, I have about five that I was the first! Once again, something is changing???

Pull it ... it is stuck in very repeated movies,,,just keeps coming up and it gives a point!!!

Update: 2 1/2 hours later (5:00 p.m. EST)

Just came back on; EVERY no-track calibration movie I have seen has been that same one. Scores will be going up fast today!

Same non-track calibration movie

Post by laserphil »

Like everyone else who has posted a reply I to have found this movie repeating. I have only had it twice in a row one time but in the session just completed I viewed 50 real movies and 29 calibration movies - something has gone wrong with the 1 in 4 ratio of calibration to real movies!

8013178V1 repeating

Post by jsmaje »

Me too - 20 times in as many minutes, three times in a row on two occasions. Have decided to stop until they get things back to normal.

The 8013178V1 is still around. It was appearing when I started dusting about half an hour ago, and I recognized it from yesterday. Obviously that movie keeps its Movie-ID, is "posing" as a Calibration Movie and repeating. I kept track of the following sequence:
"CM" 8013178V1 14 times
"normal" CM's 8
real movies 87
double-movie phenomenon 1 !!
bad focus (my opinion) 1

This together means 22/87 = 25% CM's , quite normal, but odd (?);and
The double-movie phenomenon is still around.

P.S.: The awards for my endeavour were:
14 points added to my score, but also one point miraculously deducted, i. e. my CM Inaccurate Answers went up one point. Why?? Most probably too much focussed on 8013178V1 :( :(

How about This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Howie »

Hello All,

Did anyone get the same movie 8013178,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BUT,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It has a fake test track, and I almost missed it, but has another movie number, which I should have copied, started I think with a 1, and I went back and forth to prove it was the same movie!!!

I was so astounded, I did not even think about copying the number!
A Brain ****!!!

8013178V1 repeating

Post by fflo »

Again: Movie 8013178V1 is still around and continuously repeating as a "fake"-CM. It counts as "Answered Correctly" but keeps its number, which it should loose as a "real"-CM.
Is it that difficult to remove this one from the system? Or is this a new strategy from the team?

FFLO YOU LOST ME?????????????
A REAL CM does not lose its number??? It keeps being viewed???
And, yes is this a new strategy or a problem if you read my upper last post about the same movie with a real fake track in the upper right corner!!!

I also forgot to mention I have added to my events over the past couple days very many new movies with potential and half have been already remarked by team, and many I am the only one with views from 1 to over 50 or even more.

If this is new strategy, it is really really wierd what is going on???
Maybe soon we will get an answer???

I did not loose - sorry: lose - you!

In various threads it had been stated clearly, that after clicking a Calibration Movie it loses the Movie Number with which is being presented at that time.
It can, at any time, being presented again to any participant (also to you!), but than it gets, for that occasion only, randomly a new number. Which it will lose again and which will be used thereafter as fixed identification for a Real Movie! You can search for this information in the threads of the forum.
So, our 8013178V1 is a weird movie: It behaves as a CM, i.e. lets you click "No Track", gives you positive credit, but does keep its number. Furthermore it is being presented numerous times.

The Team is doing its job and adds constantly new movies. So no wonder that also you, as a devoted participant are getting constantly movies which only few participants had seen so far, and where you even have the chance to click them as " number 1".

You see, almost everything can be explained!

Don't waste time, keep dusting!

fflo
