I quit
5001 Points is a nice way to finish this off.
I volunteered to find Stardust and that's what I've been doing the last couple of days, for too many hours I might say now.
Finding as many particles as possible was my goal, not to be at #1 or anywhere else.
Hell I don't even know if I found one in a real movie, after seeing so many of them and reporting them,I still haven't received any notice.
But that's understandable.
It's alot of fun, looking through these movies, but I've seen too many of them.
I've read alot about this project not being a game, and that's the reality of it.
It might be easy to say for me at this point, but that's the reality, for me and many other people here.
On occasion I did look at the scores mind you,and it surprised me to see being up there in the top 5.
But that was not my goal.
If it was a game to me I would go on to 20000 and still be in the top 5, if not at the #1 spot the way it's going now.
So to prove it's not a game to me I quit.
This is not aimed at anybody in specific mind you,it's just the way it feels to me now.
Hopefully I did find something to help the people of the Stardust project in their research.
To all the people who are signed up,you're doing a great job folks!!!
And to cut the crap here are my final stats.
Total movies viewed : 20947
Total real movies viewed : 15700
Specificity 100 %
Sensitivity 96 %
Rank 1 out of 9048
Overall score : 5001
So long people

Say it ain't so Zuben! 5001....good job! Keep on looking, just perhaps not so often. With your experienced eyes, they probably can't afford to lose you.

Re: I quit
Hi zuben el genubi,
30 minutes ago I wrote to you in another (unimportant) thread, mentioning you are doing "too much"! Now I read this. Makes me sad.
I almost got to the same point yesterday, thinking about the question: How can it be possible to mobilize such bursts of energy and ethusiasm, without anybody around to bring that into a productive line (no feedback, no tutor, no advice). Maybe, we took them by surprise. (Note: Don´start such projects on weekends!!)
I´m sure, you did a great job!
Don´t forget to look at "your events" time by time in order not to miss the first verified piece of "sturdust" you explored!
Best regards
peter (stardust1)

Thanks for your replies.
Stardust I've just read it,thanks for your reply too.
Yeah I know what you mean, but i'll stick around here to check things out.
But right now I don't feel like looking for particles anymore.
Hopefully I can name one, even if I still don't know what to call it.
To the mods, lock this thread please,i've said what I wanted to say.
Thank You
