At times I seem to notice a pattern in the way calibration movies are presented to the user: a number of real movies, a sequence of 2-3 consecutive calibration movies, 1 or 2 real movies, another short sequence of 2-3 calibration movies, and then a number of real movies. If it is not just an impression, this may make calibration movies more predictable, and possibly less useful.

Humans are very good at detecting patterns, whether they exist or not. I intuit a tendency for the calibration movies to come in bunches, but I think it's just that every now and then they do get bunched up, and of course that registers as a signficant occurrence when a single movie doesn't.
If you're going to be just like everyone else, what's the point in existing?
