Continuing with the rank issue this thread started with:
I registered today and my rank looks really funny
"65535 out of 6460"
Seems I dropped through the bottom of the stats
Not much of a problem for me, though, I guess it will correct itself after a while.

Wow, a singularity in the continuum!
(BTW: that's not a bug ... it's a feature. *grin*)

Likely you will find that it does not.

If scores are not correctly being calculated it is a concern so far as it could create a bias that makes it more difficult for us to identify movies with likely tracks in them.

The absolute value of the score only creates a scaling effect. That's why those who attempt to cheat and raise their scores artificially are really just wasting their time.

People of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate in this project.

The details are the score is there for a reason, it should reflect how you are doing.

And BTW, mine is 65535 out of 6911. Does this mean they have turned off the ranking?

Evidently it's amuck.

I checked Rank page lastnight. Someone was 277 but I wasn't there even though I had 307. This morning I checked; someone with 279 is there, and 280, but I'm not ... with 352. So it's not /off/, but it's definitely not right.

When I read some of the replies maybe we should keep the children and let the adults go play somewhere else, Children, at whatever age that is deemed to be, can play a very important part in this study, wouldnt it be nice if a 15 year old got one named after him! Oh and I am 55 maybe I am too old!
The only scores anyone should care about are the two Percentage scores. They judge the quality of your work. If someone can't keep those in the high 90s, then they should run along and play.
After a shakey start with a sensitivity score of 70% I have managed to bring that up to 87% and thats with over 3000 videos viewed. Mind you I didnt have to admit to that but I am proud of the progress I have made.

This topic is now being discussed in the FAQ forum so I am locking this thread.
