Hence my request elsewhere to Dan for clarification of the matter. John
I think I was told 30 pixels, but I will confirm and let you know.

Re: Problems with a positive calibratio

Seems you are all catching on :D If it helps, I've been informed that the confusing "big blob" is just a blemish in the aerogel. Otherwise, recent posts to note include: 1) jsmaje: I eventually decided to click on the vague small, highest blob right on the very edge of the frame (arrowed),...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Wow Im am very very VERY excited with this one I just discovered, I think that you can clearly see a midnight track in this one. http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=1157902V1 And it appears that I am the first one to click it too :) Tell me what you guys think! Great news ...

Re: Phase 3 calibration - am I wrong?

Welcome to the team heyjude! You've joined at an exciting time for the project.

Hurons84, your experience with Google Chrome is not unique, and I would suggest anyone using it give another browser a try (as you have) before they start pulling their hair out. :)

Re: Phase 3 calibration - am I wrong?

*Another* one.... marked down on this one as well! It's so obvious! I mark the end of the tail upon focusing down... anyone?? What's up? Hey heyjude, I think if you start trying the other end, you'll have better luck. Give it a go for awhile, and then let me know if things improve for you. Thanks! ...

Re: Phase 3 calibration - am I wrong?

Everyone else - there seem to be tracks that go off in an obvious direction, but in actuality (if you look very closely), the true track goes off in almost (although not exactly) the opposite direction. These are the first of these tracks that I'm seeing. I will investigate and get back to you. In ...

Re: Phase 3 calibration - am I wrong?

Also, what radius of tolerance are you now allowing for clicking on the 'correct' spot? I've been trying to find that out from the techs myself, and will let you know. But why should it matter that much anyway, as long as dusters can demonstrate that they are able to identify tracks of interest som...

Yeah, on full down focus, it looks exactly like the illustration here. Nice.

But the real question is, what coordinates did you click?!!

Re: Phase 3 calibration - am I wrong?

Hi Folks, Thanks for bringing these to our attention. Here's what I've got so far. straydog - you seem to be clicking the wrong end of the track. Everyone else - there seem to be tracks that go off in an obvious direction, but in actuality (if you look very closely), the true track goes off in almos...

Re: Problems with a positive calibratio

I found a problem with one or two positive calibration. For the last one (the 1552881V1) I'm 99% sure that the right coordinates are near 470,220. But I got an error !!! The previous (may be the 4476661V1!! I'm not sure this is the correct number) where the track is as big as a "house" (n...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

What do you think? In this movie, too deep to get in focus, should be another high angle track (h400-500 / v125-175) http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=6627522V1 Interesting! I probably would have missed it, but I definitely see why you would think it's possible. Well, yo...
