Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Hi Dan, I'll be back to shoot..., er, pick them up 8) Found yet another interesting one (possible low-angle track): (V009/H108) http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=1961737V1 So far I found a couple of those other possible pokes-like. They indeed point rather exact all in th...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Could there be a vertical track in the aerogel? (called low-angle track, right?) (V325/H170, pretty small) http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=4242373V1 It shows a nice distinctive ring in the last frames of the movie. It could be of course only a particle/speck on/in the a...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Another package from my morning search today via the Stardust Viewer of "more or less" real stardust tracks: http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=9447274V1 http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=9842006V1 http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.ed...

Re: No Track Evident

You got it right, John. It's the one of the "two" tracks in use that is really really hard to spot sometimes. There're other calibration movies which are even more difficult - especially because of the illumination and the used size of this track. Regarding the position to click on it. I a...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Very nice, I think that you got something there in my opinion. And so it appears that my track might not be the first one to be found in phase 3 afterall. Congrats to you! Yeah, it's not quite the real start of the search though, but to find the first one now in Phase 3 would be something! :) BTW. ...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Great news nitram819! First, what you found is from Tile 92, which is new data. There's no guarantee it's extraterrestrial, but it's definitely a candidate, the first of Phase 3, and we're all excited about it. We'll keep you posted. Dan on behalf of the Stardust@home team Hi Dan, That's great news...

Re: Phase 3 calibration - am I wrong?

Hi, Regarding the deepest point of such a track it should be a simple business. It have to be the particle (or at least that one of the remains that entered farthermost) that caused the hole in the collecting tray, i.e. in the aerogel that is inserted in the tray. http://curator.jsc.nasa.gov/stardus...

What do you think? In this movie, too deep to get in focus, should be another high angle track (h400-500 / v125-175) http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ ... =6627522V1

Hi John,

Doesn't matter. That you've mentioned the fourth language of the country do you instantly rehabilitate :)
Be honest, I just had to search how it is called in English too. It is probably "Romansh".

Huh! that's a nice one! Looks like it even varies its shape beneath the surface, though it is quickly diffuse.

"Too late..." Hey, there's a reset button! Phew! Such a growing black hole could have nice conveniences here in comparison to the rest of the world. Such as longer life time, stronger musculature and last but not least I will live to see the end of the stardust@home project  @John, S...

Bryan, are there any good or bad news about getting and posting the movies of the extraction process?
