Re: Events Lists

Hi, Elaine. I have 48 items in my events list from 67,282 real movies viewed, or just over 0.07%. As you know, some of those are fiducials, others are wishful thinking, and some are clearly not candidates. Only a few (maybe four to six, I didn't go back to look) are strong candidate tracks. So, my h...

Re: Stargate-gate?

Welcome, SG-1 Å. Something of your first transmission seems to have been lost in translation. That is understandable with first contact. The universal translator should quickly adjust. Some of my colleagues seem anxious as to whether you are friend or foe, and as to the nature of your being. Your us...

Re: Stargate-gate?

Wow! Great catch, jsmaje. I wonder what the associated stats (and events log) look like.

Re: Answers to Qs about: VM, Movies, Scores… UPDATED 6:56pm

Yes, I'm afraid Elaine is correct. There is nothing to be "fixed." Math is what it is and unforgiving. Elaine's answer probably clarifies your question well enough, but if not, perhaps you can share some specific numbers you find confusing. While I've tallied 465 more correct CMs in the la...

Re: Answers to Qs about: VM, Movies, Scores… UPDATED 6:56pm

Well, Zoerel, the higher your percent sensitivity, the harder you have to work to improve it because, mathematically, the more correct CMs you'll require to compensate for a "miss." I currently have 30 "misses," and my score is 9050. Since the score is determined by the number of...

Re: Events page problem?

Well, hannes, your interpretation of the events log seems to be correct. You should find there any non-calibration movies you flagged as having potential candidate tracks, along with the number of other dusters who've examined and possibly flagged that same movie. So there is no confusion there. I c...

I can't offer any help, Kevin, but I've experienced no such problem. Good luck getting it resolved soon.

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

I see creases or wrinkles in the aerogel, but only surface features, nothing that looks like a track candidate to me. Perhaps someone else will spot something.

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

I see what you're looking at, but that one appears to me to be a surface feature. I'm one of the 114 that took a pass on it. (The fact that I recall seeing it means I stared at it a while.) We'll see if any of our other Red Team colleagues think differently.

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Yep, that one's already on the Alpha List, and when I rated it I marked it as a probable fiducial mark. The Berkeley Team has not yet confirmed that. Average rating so far is 7.333.

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Yep, that's a really juicy one, Martin, and it wasn't yet on the Alpha listing. I added it to the list. Quite a collection of fiducials we're accumulating. Mike
