Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Well, I see the little "tail" all right. When you see a dozen of these in a single movie, it's easy to dismiss them all. When you see just one, it's hard to let it go. I doubt it's a track, but we'll promote it and see what others think.

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

That's a beauty, Pete. It might be a fiducial mark, but certainly needs checking out. I've promoted it to the Alpha listing. Regards,

Re: Where are the signed up members from?

Well, Pete, you've actually jumped in near the beginning of Phase IV of the project. Your timing is not bad. There were numerous "bugs" at the beginning of this phase that now have "mostly" been rectified. One change we expect soon is a revision in the way the "skill" s...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

John, this "double exposure" actually did come up in the beta testing, but was not purged for whatever reason. In my experience, if you click on the "first" feature and ignore the leading one, you should be marked correct. Of course, the first time I encountered it I guessed wron...

Re: Skill Score

Well, Dan, not all of us had a problem with the old sensitivity rating. The straight percentage is simple and very fair. The various weightings in the new power movie format do invite closer scrutiny and inject an element of fun, and the variety of calibration tracks is most welcome. I will personal...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Martin, I promoted five of them: 1506030 (fiducial?), 8672260 (nifty find - pick one - one looks fiducial and the other an HAT), 8313586 (agreed), 20899 (probable fiducial), 7025478 (I don't think so, but I've been wrong before). Regards,

Re: Skill Score

Dan, I happen to like having the running tally of power movies missed. But, if it's unpopular, it won't crush me to lose it. Regards,

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

I don't think so on that last one, tiburd, but I did promote 3228668V1 to the Alpha listing. It might be a fiducial mark, otherwise I'd say you've got a winner there.

Evelyn, yours looks just like a power movie! I promoted it as well. Good luck.

Re: Phase 4 problems

You can tell the rating of power movies you answer correctly by keeping track of how much your power score increments. You just have to remember to check it before you click.

Re: Phase 4 problems

There seems to be a systemic error with at least some of the HAT's. I've missed three obvious ones already this morning, and the coordinates that were indicated as "correct" for each were not only wildly off, but they were the same coordinates for all three very different movies - 2516499,...

Re: Tracks and Movies

Regarding dust on the screen, this new machine of ours has a touch screen. More than twice I've gone to wipe off an apparent bit of dust and had that result in spurious additions to my events log or a missed power movie. Guess I'd better read up on how to turn off the dang touch screen feature! We'r...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Well, Klemek, if you meant the feature at about 500/150 (vs. 15), that is interesting. It doesn't quite strike me as a track, but I've been wrong many times before. I'll go ahead and add it to the Alpha Listing and we'll see what the Red Team thinks of it. It might be a while before it gets evaluate...

Re: Tracks and Movies

Yes, you can also add #4489989. It's bad enough to click on a 5-rated track knowing it's going to hurt your skill rating, but then to have it wrongly marked as incorrect adds insult to injury. It's best, albeit a challenge at times, to keep a good sense of humor. Power on, Gebils!
