Hi Eliane,
That looks like a very good possibility to me. I have had a look on my high def screen and it shows in focus at the surface and for a considerable distance below. Good luck, I hope its a winner for you.

Re Strange Movie
Hi Fjgiie, This one begs the question - Where is the surface? What would be interesting would be to know what depth is represented by the focus bars? It may be that the spec is sitting on a small hill on the surface of the gel but without a vertical scale(focus) it looks like its way above the surfa...

I thought I had a CM!
I thought this was just another blank mono grey scan then a CM with only 1 track on the whole scan. So I clicked on the spot - it doesn't look like an inclusion as it is there for 15 focus bars - but not quite in focus for my eyes! What do others think? http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevent...

Download/upload speed
Having recently increased my dsl speed I was wondering if there is any speed restrictions in place on the stardust servers? The problem is that I am still only able to download VM movies at a rate of 2 per minute despite doubling the connection speed. My system memory is only 60% in use and the proc...

How to deal with mono grey scans?
This may seem to be a dumb question to ask now but how do other dusters deal with the scans which are just a mono grey right through the whole focus bars? I have been marking them as bad focus up to now - I have put them into a class of "unable to locate the surface" and therefore not able...

Hi Evelyn, Thanks for the update on Ron's situation. I was very worried when I received no reply to my email to Ron and his score staying still. I had contacted Fjgiie and Nikita earlier about any news but didn't think to put a general request on the forum. Ron had written that he had a friend calle...

Re Reply on Bad scoring movies
Hi Bryan, I appreciate your response to the complaints about these movies and accept that the revealing of co-ordinates would be counter productive to the whole project. I have revealed to others where I thought the tracks were when other dusters have requested clarification but this will cease henc...

CM 9958181V1
About ten days ago I was pinged on this CM. Tonight I was pinged again on the same CM. Can someone in the stardust team confirm that the track is located at 301,338? The movie was viewed at approximately 1004UT on 27/9/07. I thought these bad scoring movies were to be removed from the database! Lase...

Change in Movies
Has anyone else noted a change in the movies presented over the last 48 hours? There do not appear to be any 100micron -ve CM's and the number of bad focus movies seems to have increased. I have just finished a 2 hour session and I think I saw as many bad focus as good movies!! The +ve CM's also see...

Review of calibration movies
Hi Den@s, You can review calibration movies that you get caught on. The trick is you have to hit the 'back' button immediately after receiving the incorrect score. This will bring back the movie just viewed even if it was a calibration movie. I have taken to keeping a list of the movie numbers on CM...

Frozen focus movies
To add to Crumplestiltskins list, 5220547V1 and 2825115V1 do not focus. I've seen the first of these twice now and it was the same effect both times.
