Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

1946340V1 I think that the team have suggested the wrong end of this track for the correct co-ordinates. The correct point (deepest) should be around 500, 210? 7311872V1 and 4606572V1 - Am I alone in missing these as I considered that a particle track would be deeper into the gel than the surface f...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

Looks good to me, you even have a terminal particle in focus on the last bar. Well done, I hope it is a reward for you tiburd.

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

2910721V1 There is a problem with the co-ordinates for correct ID of the track/particle in this movie. After successfully completing a number of sessions without missing a track (including a 70 pointer) this one caught me and I believe that I have reported it previously. It also highlights my thoug...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

HiFjgiie, Your 8437649V1 is the inverse of my 9913600V1 that I posted on Aug 13. Seems that the power movies are just different orientations and magnifications of a few select tracks. I was under the impression that they were all different focus movies with the tracks digitally inserted. By the way ...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

Hi Dan and Elaine, This is a difficult one to call. I would have preferred that other piece of aerogel to the top left had been in tact but after viewing this movie for considerable time I think I would click on the edge of the movie and not the "head". I would have missed the points as we...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/powermissedviewer.php?movie_vm=5205813V1&theX=470&theY=292 I would like an answer to this question. Just where do you click to get the points for this fifteen pointer? Obvious answer when you get scored a miss and check why. You have to click somewhere...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

Movie # 8451850V1 is also the same as the three Fjgiie posted above.

Fjgiie, your # 8203123V1 looks to me like something has skipped across the surface. I agree that there are no "below surface" features visible so it just looks like surface debris.

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

Hi DanZ, Still more poor track identification on the following movies - even a double of the one posted above. http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/powermissedviewer.php?movie_vm=2544731V1&theX=269&theY=337 Deepest point of the track is at 275,375. http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/po...

Re: Skill Score

I started today with a skill score of 11.91 and managed to get up to 11.98 on four occasions throughout the day. Finished dusting with a skill score of 11.94 - should have been closer to 12.5 but for the low value movies. Its like taking one step forward and three steps back. Not to mention the movi...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"

Hi DanZ, There is a problem with this power movie: http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/powermissedviewer.php?movie_vm=601173V1&theX=128&theY=279 There is no 4 point track at the co-ordinates listed. There is what appears to be an obvious low point track at 100,297 but clicking on this rec...

Re: Whine Time

An interesting question - where to click? Are there two tracks in this movie 4021787V1? This structure has appeared in 5 power movies from today's dusting. Different orientations but the same two track like spots. I've clicked on three different locations - first spot(looking from tail towards head ...

Re: Whine Time

Moral for dusters. When your skill score goes up log off before it starts to go down. I just finished a couple of hours dusting. I started with a skill level of 10.6 got up to 10.8 then the low score power movies set in. When my skill score was at 10.55 I was so P.....ed off that I missed a 23 and a...

Re: Phase 4 problems

I'm afraid that's it for me. I was quite expecting to miss the high score power movies but to have suffered the loss of 0.5 skill level because the co-ordinates are still wrong on HAT's has really turned me off Stardust at Home. "If you're not having fun you're no doing it right" I am not ...

Re: Phase 4 problems

Having built up my skill level to a respectable 10.14 I was most unimpressed when I missed three HATs that truly amazed me - three different movies with the supposed correct location at the same point. After missing the first when I clicked on the deepest point, I tried the other end on the next and...
