Wow, Lily, they seem to like you. By the way, my relatively new daughter-in-law from Jakarta has a sister named Lily, and my daughter-in-law's name, Susyna, also means Lily. Regards,
Mike C.

Re: Tracks and Movies
Dan, I noticed that cometary track 8516644 was rated a "10" by the Berkeley Team but labeled a "fiducial." Is that correct? Do we have cometary fiducial marks? Regards,
Mike C.

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
I think I missed that one too, Lily. It's tough to see, but it's there. Try about a 250% zoom. If you go much bigger, it blurs, and much smaller it's darn hard to spot.

Re: Phase 6 stats and Skill score 'jitter' simulation
Amen to all that, John, and especially I second your kudos to the Berkeley Team for trying to be so accommodating to the diverse wishes of all dusters - almost to a fault. Like it or not, they are running two parallel projects; one the search for interstellar (and now cometary) dust particles, and t...

Re: Phase 6 stats and Skill score 'jitter' simulation
Well, I see from the link that I am on record as having no problem with the original sensitivity rating. That's still true. And although I personally prefer the cumulative scoring (which I now track on my own), I must admit that with the moving window approach it is "fun" after a missed PM...

Re: Skill score decreasing for found movies
Jason, if it helps, those look like normal fluctuations to me. As explained elsewhere, they stem from the skill score being calculated from a "moving window" of the most recent 100 PMs you've encountered. So, to get a true picture of what's happening, you would need to look at what happene...

Re: Skill score decreasing for found movies
Hey, Evelyn, I've also missed (or flubbed) 50 PMs in Phase VI so far - nice round number. A pleasure to be in your company. My missed count might go up soon as I've been traveling the last four days and am now a bit out of practice. Always nice to have an excuse, anyway. Happy dusting - don't let th...

Re: Phase 6 stats and Skill score 'jitter' simulation
After several false starts, I can attest that my latest return to the 1.0000 skill ranking was accomplished without the help of any "aide memoire." Of course, you'll have to take my word on that. It does seem unfair, however, to leap-frog over other dusters already at the 1.0000 level due ...

Re: Phase 6 stats and Skill score 'jitter' simulation
Random PM generation - another fine idea, John! Might be hard to pull off. Good luck if you decide to attempt it.
Missed three today (so far), but they were "good" misses, not flubs or questionable PMs, so I don't mind. Working on yet another comeback.

Re: Phase 6 stats and Skill score 'jitter' simulation
Just to interject regarding the "holding on" question posed to John. I'm currently at the 1.0000 skill score for the 12th time. That means I've lost (and recovered) it eleven times. So, maybe we're not so good at holding on as clawing our ways back. It does largely depend on the distributi...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
No. 3071607V1 is yet another version of that same distressing inverted PM. I got it correct by clicking in the "wrong" place (shallower, bulbous end), rather than the deeper part of the track at the upper edge.

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
Another of those frightening, probably inverted PMs came up today, 5614831V1. However, when I held my breath and clicked on it in a "compromise" spot as I have in the past, the next movie came up, but neither my power score nor my skill score had changed. I checked my events log, and did n...
