Calibration movie 6452137V1

What's with the calibration movie 6452137V1 ? I comes up as a calibration movie, but I can't see anything at all on it. To me it looks like all of the frames are identical. Is this supposed to be a test of bad focus recognition? But we don't get credit for that, and no real feedback. Is this an exam...

Ok, I'm not going to pretend that I know much about all of this stuff, but I will say that the actual font setting is in the Appearance folder, not the Settings/Advance folder. In the Settings/Advance folder it clearly states that if you want to change the font size only to click Cancel and go to t...

Tom, This has fixed two peoples problems now. You're being stubborn and not reading the messages. Their problems were not large fonts, but an actual setting of 120dpi. If you go back to Tracy's post and look at the menus she went to to get to that setting, I'll bet you have yours set at 96dpi, even...

No, Tracy is correct. In XP, the DPI setting affects objects and fonts and was causing her mouse position coordinates to be 125% of normal. Setting font size only is a separate menu item. I have to disagree. It obviously happens on Tracy's machine, and might happen on yours. But I've just checked o...

Re: Program

At least this item from My Events' list shows that Tom_Gutman should not be so suspicious: Movie 9471219V1 230 / 127 Passed cut 2 IS candidate? http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=9471219V1 Yes, a most interesting movie. I've not had it in my list, but have seen references...

Re: Take a Look..............???

4 of 281 viewed clicked this one...Looks like one of the latest CM movies with the very small track that does not look like the older typical big bullseye??? The one I clicked is right of center and comes into focus about 3/4 down the scale??? http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer....

Re: Program

I do not think you checked a few hundred image of tracks, like I did. I do not know what resolution you use, but save a track picture, zoom on the track and see for yourself. (the rectangle containing the smallest "tracks" are like 10x10, but surely there are some that are around 8x8) The...

:D Problem solved!! The setting is in the XP Display->Settings->Advanced DPI setting (not IE). I had things set to Large (120 dpi) while Normal is 96 dpi. I have set it down to normal and all is well. I thought that I just had the large fonts turned on all this time, not realizing that it was actua...

You have some setting in MSIE that is causing it to zoom the picture. But I don't know MSIE well enough to know what that is. You could just look through all of the options (probably the advanced ones) to see what might be relevant, and change those. It might also be some sort of add-in, adjusting t...

Re: Program

Why can you speak in such sureness? Have we seen ever a real IS track or got a serious confirmation of a possible track in the IS collector, ...not to mention two different of them? :) Well, I can't be all that sure. Still, there is a lot of reason for my position. Partly it is theoretical. The tra...

Re: Program

The smallest ones are 10-15 pixels in diameter. The smallest tracks in the calibration movies are nowhere near 10 pixels. The small track in the examples might be, but there are much smaller tracks in the actual calibration movies. I think that this percentage of the people in the top 200 is around...

Seems like there may be some sort of problem with the coordinates. You can check that. Click on the lower right hand corner. Then check the URL of the next page. Scroll that URL over to the right, and at the end you should see the coordinates that you clicked on. That should be very close to 500,375...

Program

I think this program is an interesting, if somewhat pointless, exercise. At first blush, I am surprised at the low sensitivity. There are only about a half dozen actual tracks in the CM's, imbedded in different backgrounds. Pattern matching to find them would seem to be a cinch. But thinking about i...

I thought all the IDs for calibration movies were actually IDs for real movies, and that the information as to whether it is a real or a calibration movie is elsewhere in the URL.

Re: zoom?

katkolling wrote:A mention was made above about zooming in. How do you do this? I don't see a control for it. Thanks.
That's a function of your browser. With MSIE zoom in/zoom out are on the right click menu. But this may vary with release level.
