Thank YOU, Marcella! At #27 on the Top 100 "Hit Parade" I'd hate to see us lose that level of skill!!

Best of luck, and Happy Dusting!!

Perhaps I am lucky that I only joined a few months ago so that I am not jaded by the progress of Phase I. I can understand marcia's frustration though. For me, I am going to keep trying things my way (clicking on stuff and making My Events page huge ). I guess the true test is when they try extract...

I'm so sorry. There was an extra step in disabling this one bad batch that I had neglected to do. They should be gone now. Thanks, Anna - but not quite! There may be another stray set out there. Same problem with 8295602V1 just received at 7:45pm EDT. I'll keep providing IDs here as they come up, i...

VM 7959374V1 comes up empty (using IE 6.0, WinXP) by showing the small "x" box in the upper left corner of the first frame. Also the load guage has a single bar (centered), while the following VM loads normally (and the guage bar extends to both ends). The URL of this movie is... http://st...

Re: My first maybe track (right under the surface)

3619350V1 Top right Certainly a viable candidate under the "new rules" (examples 17 and 18 in the Tutorial). I came across the following: 808511V1 Notice how, at the very last focus bars, a hazy "inclusion" starts to appear about 3/5's up and 3/5's over to the right, with its mo...

...And Marcia - I entirely agree about the promised 'new CMs', having said here that "I'm not sure that the new hi-res calibrations Bryan mentions, based on as yet unproven features, will necessarily be of much value". We shall see. Well taken, John (and Marcia)! While I can certainly vou...

Hi Marcia ! (...and thanks for the vote of confidence, fjgiie !) :D Just as a follow up to Marcia 's comment, your point about the lack of a "sharp ring" is well taken. However, as you might note in the note (sorry - Dept. of Redundancy Dept. ) I indicated that this was as close to ...

Re: Small real tracks

About as small and faint as I have seen that look something like a CM track. 4938343V1 5262416V1 303777V1 About 4 seconds spent on a clean, clear movie and 10 to 15 s on a busy movie. fjgiie , I concur with you (I also have 4938343V1 on "My Events" list), and the smallest CM version I've ...

Shedding some light on the issue...

Now I understand what Bryan was talking about when he mentioned the new lighting technique - take a look at the new lighting feature in this one...

ID=233531V1

They're using imbedded flourescent light fixtures!

Wonder what outlet they use for such a tiny plug, tho.......

More than just dust...

Now that we've been well entrenched in our dusting, and even though we've yet to achieve any confirmed success(es), I thought it would be interesting to post other searches which have used essentially the same techniques that we have begun to validate here! Came across this in a trade magazine (Info...

Re: Right in the middle and big

. __ Movie 9238472V1 _ 54 ________ 2 ___________ Indeterminate Hey fjgiie ! Looks downright perfect...until, that is, the last 5-6 frames where the 'circle' goes back out of focus. :( However, were it me, I'd have clicked that too - certainly close enough to warrant further review!! Nice catch! :D

There is even one, which I wrote with good critique from Dr. Bryan Mendez (UCB/Stardust), for Elementary School children. I've alr...
