Fellow dusters, I just want to encourage you to listen to Dr. Andrew Westphal's brief but very interesting update from the September 17th telecon as soon as it's posted. There's an especially intriguing surprise toward the end. Best regards,
Mike C.

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
Well, I finally ran across 4606912 again today, Dan. No problems. I clicked in the usual place and it registered correctly. No idea what I did wrong previously, but it must have been a mistake on my part. Aside from the curious discrepancy in ratings among the quadrants, all seems fine and likely do...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
That is a tough one, Lily. If you go to the bottom of the focal range, you can just make out the diagonal HAT at the right edge. Not sure the "correct" place to click on it, but I expect it's at 500/300.
(Oh, wait, it says so in the URL - duh!
500/301, I was close.)

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
That's a nasty one, Lily, I ran into it once but clicked the wrong end as I recall. Dan, I haven't run into 4606912 yet; I thought I did today, but it was it's sister in the same quadrant, 1463257. I clicked at 80/374 and got it correct, but it is also only a 15-pointer. So, it seems those in the lo...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
Yes, Evelyn, there is a diagonal HAT, but out of focus, at about 65/275 - at least, that's where I would click on it.

Re: Third Thursday Telecons
I quick-checked a few of them, Dan, and playback seemed fine. Mike

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
No, Dan. I do not agree. This is the one where the actual track diverges from the main feature. There are four views of it - one in each of the four corners. Because people tended to click in the corners instead of the correct location, they were rated as 75 or 80-pointers. This one I click around 7...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
Regarding coordinate issues, Dan, I just "missed" this one: http://aerogel.ssl.berkeley.edu/powermissedviewer.php?movie_vm=4606912V1&theX=86&theY=366. However, I've always gotten it correct before and clicked in the usual spot. Also, it said it was only a 15-pointer; it's been (I t...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
I believe we've flagged this one before. http://aerogel.ssl.berkeley.edu/powermissedviewer.php?movie_vm=4241772V1&theX=125&theY=-64. No reasonable person is going to get it correct. With a Y coordinate of minus 64, if you click where the track leaves the upper edge, you are marked "wron...

Re: "There's a problem with this focus movie"
OK, tell me that's not an obvious Heidelberg track at ~115/290. However, it's "wrong" according to http://aerogel.ssl.berkeley.edu/powermi ... 6&theY=184
