Greetings Grant. Though your idea could benefit heavy duty dusters, I believe there are a few reasons why the files are not compressed and sent in batches as you mentioned; Firstly, the individual frames are only about 10k on average (though at 40 frames per movie, that can add up quickly!)- but any...

Hi Howie. I remember this before as well. Remember that each movie covers much less than a freckle, and any imperfection as big as a quarter will result in many movies that are out of focus. There is a process in use that keeps these to a minimum, but nothing's perfect. It seems you just got a lucky...

What is the exact message that the firewall displays?

What do you think?

Looks like low-angle track to me. It won't focus because it's gone beyond the recording depth of the microscope.

Hi X.

Are you dusting with multiple windows?
I came across this problem on a couple of occasions and was able to get around it by logging one window out and then logging back in again.

Re: yes

I do have 100%/100%, but I stopped dusting with a score of 100. Yes, I was here from the beginning. Unfortunately I no longer can dust due to my job now that I've graduated from college. Eric Bon voyage Eric. Congrats on the new job... it aint easy, but not everyone can be a GOD, right? Your input ...

Re: Another computer program searcher

It appears as though there's another program besides 'Cerealkiller' posing as a Stardust search volunteer ['SkyNetV4'], able to 'search' 24-7. It's too bad it doesn't realize that, while it may be very prolific @ running up high totals of identified calibration movies [out-doing real people], it wi...

Re: When will volunteer project end?

hi all I want to know whether spending hours on this project is benifitial for us. Would NASA GIVE some preference to us ( in its space programs ) or it is just a waste of time!!!!!!!!!! Greeting Ashish. I would like to think (and feel many would agree) that new scientific discovery and the ...

There is no way to view a calibration movie without the entire URL from that page (the movie number will only bring up the real movie with that id).
