Hopefully no reason to stay by searched/old movies again this time.
With more or less sucess individually, (we) dusters always have been searching for anything that could be a sign of something that entered the aerogel..., don't you think so meanwhile?

Track 40
Hi, There's a PDF for the LPSC2011 including side face pictures of track 40 in its "picokeystone" http://www.lpi.usra.edu/meetings/lpsc2011/pdf/2083.pdf - where it still looks like a hedgehog as it looks like from above :) The PDF says it has a consistent morphology with a very high speed ...

Hi Elaine,
(AFAIK) The needle marks should point all in the same direction (1200).
It's a nicely deep entered real one.

(Wow) This 50s movie 3689408V1 has a nice midnight track too (Orion-like). Can't find it on the Alpha List. It has got 27 views and 7 clicks so far.

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"
Hi Mitchell, The focus of the movie goes not deep enough to have a distinctive part of the "track" in focus. So it is more like to speak from a duster's experience that there could be a track. Have a look at this high contrast picture where the track around the debris/particles is more obv...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"
Apropos promotion... Don't you think movie 5599106V1 should be on the Alpha List too? To me, at H375/V125 it shows a tiny midnight track too (w.d.y.t.?). And, btw, what is happening with movie 6627522V1 that possibly cover a high-angle track too? Peter - eagerly awaiting I015+I016 in the database (f...

The individual images links are available via right click on one of the slides/images in the VM/Stardust Viewer, such as: http://s3.amazonaws.com/stardustathome.testbucket/real/fm_31615_19288.I092_Oct09/fm_31615_19288.I092_Oct09-015.jpg Where the X-axis is 31615 and the Y-axis 19288 (in pixels I thi...

Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"
Hi John, Yes we've talked about it already and I can only say this feature has a different behavior than any others that make such circles which fade as they are more and more out of focus. Here the fading stops and the circle intensify again and comes back to another "dot" beneath the fir...

Re: Where have all the "DUSTERS" gone?
Thanks Dan, that makes it clear(er). Though, I'd have thought that the bigger part of the dusters in Phase 1+2 clicked already on everything that looked like a high-angle track - or at least those of us who have visited periodically the forum :) What still puzzles me, since you started Phase 3, why ...

Re: Where have all the "DUSTERS" gone?
Hi Dan, I think Evelyn is refering to your statement from last October http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3332&p=17686&sid=1f1ab5b7ab08848d4ddd58ed45471218#p17686 I assume the Team has decided first to look once again at those 50's which had (too) little or ...
