Topic: Possible error on a calibration movie?

Sackleinen: No, when you click on a calibration image which doesn't have tracks, that lowers your "specificity". Your "sensitivity" is indeed reduced by failing to mark tracks in calibration image. The fuzzy area, so to speak, is what happens if you mark a calibration movie as &q...

Much later follow-up, now that it's actually live and this thread has been linked from another current question: Since there seem to be, ahem, some glitches with the software so far, if we find something in an image, it doesn't show up in our events, and we post it in one of these fora (with number ...

Add to that 42791B . Again, a little speck without a track, it's right and a bit below center, in the 3 or 4 deepest frames it shows up pretty clearly. And again, it didn't change my scores at all, but I don't have it as an event. I've been getting an awful lot of the "unusual route" error...

It's obviously a Shadow vessel that presumably got shrunk down and abandoned here after the last Great War.

jrwo (hey, that's just an extra 'W' away from being my own initials!): Here's links to those two you mentioned: 10622B & 10838A . I'd have to say I'd call those both entirely out of focus, aside from 10622B having that one frame from something else entirely. I would say neither looks like a cali...

Possible dust not registered after click

I found what's probably a dust mote of some sort rather deep, although I don't think I see any track for it, but I decided to click it anyway just in case (first time I did that). My calibration counts didn't go up at all, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a calibration movie, but I don't have anything ...

ScarabDrowner: Are you sure you actually had to log back in? I keep getting the error messages, one of which says you should log in or go to the home page, but if I refresh enough, it usually comes back around eventually without that. And the results do count for me then. On the other hand, I've def...

New forum for ambiguous/questionable movies?

I'd like to see a separate forum where we can ask for review of movies. I'd think it should be only for ones with potential particles (the amusing or curious ones should be just fine in this forum), but where we can't really tell as is. For instance, right now I'm looking at #45214B, which has a gre...

I've been using a bit of judgment on those. If it's one of the movies that's almost totally clean, with barely enough surface dust to even see where the surface focus is, then I'll usually mark it as "no track", since I don't think there's anywhere a track might be hiding in there. But usu...

I've been getting that same thing pretty consistently the past few minutes (I only got started abour an hour ago), but I find that if I refresh, I usually go from Error from stardust to Error from stardust: You do not have access to this page. Please log in or go back to Home. and then if I refresh ...
