Re: "I think I've found a track, what do you think?"

When I saw this on the alpha list earlier today, I rated it a "7." I don't think I've rated any potential track higher than an 8, so yes, I'd say you've got one, John. One caveat, however. The feature did look familiar when I first saw it. Because the movies overlap, you might get multiple...

Re: Other Citizen Science Projects?

Not at this time, Dan. I had hoped to participate in one between Stardust Phases II & III that I'd read about a couple years back, searching satellite images to flag potential fossil dig sites in Africa, but I didn't save the information on the project and could not find it when I went looking f...

Re: Post your stats

Well, Elaine, I'm afraid I've faltered. Current stats are: CMs viewed: 4196 CMs missed: 16 Score: 4180 Rank: 18 Specificity: 100.00% Sensitivity: 99.25% Sensitivity this phase has been as high as 99.54%, but it'll be a long slow climb back to that from here. Regards, Mike C.

Still progressing along that asymptote. It took another 19,000 plus calibrations to get from 98.80% sensitivity to the elusive 99.00%. New stats are Specificity: 99.97% Sensitivity: 99.00% Score: 51716 Rank: 11th Whew!

It took over 11000 calibrations to improve my sensitivity 0.2% - a real asymptotic progression. Don't expect any more updates from me!

Specificity 99.95
Sensitivity 98.80

Well, I'm a chemical, not mechanical, engineer. I reviewed the article briefly, and it indeed sounds interesting, but for application to picokeystone extractions at least one big question looms - what is the range of motion? I don't think that was addressed in the article. I think we'd need greater ...

Finally, "normalcy" (think temperature) achieved. It took over 8000 calibrations (with goofs) to improve my sensitivity from 98.36 to 98.60.

As of today:

Score 21140
Rank 13
Specificity 99.94
Sensitivity 98.60

Wow - I'm obviously a slow learner compared to some of you folks. Your stats are incredible. Way to set the standard for excellence! My stats are slowly and painfully improving. As of this morning: Score - 7042 Rank - 19th Specificity - 99.92 Sensitivity - 97.92 Not likely to get much better, but wi...

As requested, this is a "Hi" message to my 24,000-plus new colleagues. After participating in Phase One and slowly working my way up to 36th position on the top 100 list, I decided I should finally register during our break. I'm a chemical engineer (recently took early retirement) and comp...
