What Orion said. Hopefully they take the people with the highest accuracy for flagging calibration tracks (on top of those with the highest scores) and use them to give weight so they can sort through the chaff to find the little nuggets of gold. ;) And that is why we are viewing every movie dozens...

DustBuster, My doing that once in the thousands I have seen can't have anywhere near the impact that all the people flagging incorrectly on a regular basis does. Believe me, I wrestled with doing it in the first place, then the curiosity got the better of me, and the statistics made it harmless in ...

Re: None more black object

Check it out, looks like the heel of a black shoe. :) http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?movie_id=52707 Hi zuben el genubi, hard to say what this object could be. But I think, an object of this size and shape should have left a more spectacular track (more like a caldera). An...

Stardust, I'm in the same boat. Callibration counts are so high that the percentages can barely budge. Also same with errors, I've only had two or three in the last 1000+ callibration movies and those are all the buggy ones. Mind you, it APPEARS that some of those buggy ones might not be around any...

I believe it does, movie in question had 10 confirmations before I reconfirmed it, then it had 11.

All the best

Maybe it`s a bug. And what should be the problem? "Nice to see you again, little grain Well I guess the problem could be that by virtue of me having viewed enough movies to get the same movie randomly selected twice my opinion on it is getting double weighted compared to those who have viewed it on...

I agree with all you your points Orion, my concern is that this may not be the way that the Stardust project was designed to work and so should be flagged as a possible bug. If its intended to give feed back to the project on how consistent a participant is being by showing them the same movie mult...

@ zuben el genubi: congratulations! @ idrach Obviously not duff. My stats: Specificity: 100% Sensitivity: 98% Identified Real-Movies: 105 Number of Agreements: 750 What`s about your "quality scores"? In my opinion, the responsibles should think about a "Phase 2" of the volontier program (the winner ...

Spend the last hours searching on my own,one window, one pc,with cable connection. I'll need another 5,6 or 7 hours to catch #1,depending on how long this guy will go on. Or I'll just have a couple of beers I guess  Overall Score: 660 Total Movies Viewed: 3054 Your Rank: 6 out of 5068 Specific...

To me it has nothing to do about hitting the most movies,it's finding as much Stardust as possible. And I just seem to spot them pretty fast. I've seen over 2200 real movies and found what I believe are spots of Stardust on many of them. I just go by my own tempo that's it. 100 % agreement! That is...
