More song parodies... The Duster is Awake He isn't hungry... for dinner at eight. He likes to stardust... and stays up too late. He'd never bother with tracks that are fake. That's why the duster is awake. Doesn't like waiting for movies to load. Won't go to bed: it's quite a long road. Won't dust t...

My life is very slow and monotonous anyway, so what is boring to most is very exciting for me (and vice versa).

I agree! No wonder I haven't found a particle yet. Hey, I saw that shuttle a month ago. I went on vacation to Orlando and my mom and step-dad surprised me by pulling in to the Kennedy Space Center and getting the full "Up Close and Personal" tour (we were supposedly going to visi...

-you buy a chunk of aerogel, hook it onto an Estes model rocket and launch it, and then take really zoomed-in pictures and look for dust tracks in it -you keep dropping your mouse off the desk in an effort to get the VM to focus down even more. -you ask random people what their specificity is...and ...

- you hear an interview with a rapper who proclaims he's "...on an exploratory quest to find some great tracks..." and that he "...scored well with some heavenly dust..." and you find yourself thinking: it's so wonderful of him to promote space science like that among all the ch...

Re: Tricky calibration movie

I encountered a calibration movie that had something in it that looked like it might be a track but wasn't since it was counted as not a track. Unfortunately, I don't record movie ID's so I can not give one. The movie showed a dark speck on the surface and a semi-circle that came into focus below t...

From the latest UPDATE , the following two FOV's contained the highest rated, good candidates for further study. 9471219V1 (let's call this one ALPHA ) and 4836732V1 (this one can be BETA ) Examine each one. Did you click it? Did you not click it? Would you or would you not click it? Why? Keep it s...

Wow, I can't beleive that this is still going! I've been gone nearly two months.

I have no hope of being able to update myself completely, and unfortuneately I'll probably be on vacation when the project starts. But I got a laptop for part of it.

Anyway, I'm back!

Size of Particles

In one of the tutorial steps (I forget which), it has an "easily visible micrometeorite." Now, stardust particles are expected to be small. Why are they suspected to be so small. Why would it be surprising to find a particle as big as the micrometeorite found in that tutorial. Also, do you...

I revoke my previous word. Perhaps this one would be more accurate:

And I'm working on my telescope.

Why, thank you!
In that case, my selected prize will be a Breitling Navitimer Montbrillant watch/circular slide-rule!
Not very accurate, I'll admit.
