I agree, that looks promising.

I think as long as a few people mark a potential movie, even out of several dozen, it'll get looked at eventually. It all scales rather nicely: the more promising finds get lots of confirmations, the fainter ones, fewer so, regardless of the ratio of confirmations to viewings. So even if the most pr...

I found Dumbo. Sadly, it was a calibration. :(

My whole opinion on the scoring and specificity and sensitivity is that it shows me just how much I suck at doing this project. I'm only right about 40 percent of the time in the test images. I am starting to wonder if I should bother to continue. I was doing even worse at the beginning, something ...

In my amateur opinion, that does look like the kind of thing that people have been seeing. I'm sure someone else saw it too though.

Looks like it could be either a particularly reflective aerogel fragment, or a piece of garden variety surface dust.

Nice to see some enthusiasm! :D

I just press the 'Back' button on my browser and see the movie again. This just happeend actually; it was a tiny bugger and I need some sleep.

Frankly, I think the entire "rank" concept should be scrapped. You're absolutely right: science isn't a competition (not fundamentally, at least), and just having a high specificity and sensitivity score should be enough motivation for anyone interested in the project itself to do the best...

just something i noticed. I have a movie with 3 medium tracks 3 small tracks and one very small track. I'd like to see my movie with a deeper field of view. Anyway my movie is one number different from yours. I'm not sure if they are really next to each other but the numbers are. I've also noticed ...

1280x1024, two monitors if that matters. I clicked on 1024x768 anyway, since it was closest.

I like the look of numbers 1, 2, and 4, but on 3 I don't see anything out of the ordinary. The focus is a bit out to lunch on that one, too, so I think one of us might be confused. Good solid finds on the other three, though.

Your second one I would say "definitely promising". Your first one, though, is a bit weird, and I'm 50/50 on it either being some sort of track, or just part of the slice in the aerogel that it appears to be under.

There is something 25 microns from the right and almost half way up. It is small but comes into focus about 10 frames from the bottom. I think the focus on this movie is a bit borked; you can see the surface focus sliding from left to right as you move the slider down. As such, the right edge is on...

It's a very small track. The biggest clue is that it's only in focus below the surface.

A much easier way is to just edit a "My Events" link, so that it's "read-only", I guess you could put it: they can view the movie and focus, but they can't click it or anything.
