No one has yet seen a track produced by what is definitely an interstellar dust particle (that is what we are in the process of doing here)...

I'll take a stab at answering this. First, understand that the movies you are seeing with tracks have been manufactured, they are the callibration movies (unless you're very lucky and get a real one with a track). No one is really sure what a real one is going to look like, so I'll be talking about ...

I usually mark "Bad Focus" if any part of the surface comes into focus in the lower half. I say usually, because if the surface is fairly defect free, I may accept something that comes into focus a little lower then half. That being said, I still look to see if I can see anything.

I know that with some touchpads, if you a touching it on the right edge, it acts the same as a mouse wheel.

All my hits (and there must be 2 dozen by now) have all been the specks. Havn't gotten anything like a real track yet . Oh well, back to dusting, maybe the next movie, DOHH, well, maybe the next...

You can't link a calibration movie. The ID number assigned to it is fake. The link will take you to a real movie with that ID, not to the calibration movie.

New movies are sent out randomly. It doesn't matter what your score is or what your percentages are. The only thing that would effect your chances of seeing a new movie is the number of movies you’re seeing. Zoom works OK for me. I'm using IE 7 beta 3 and my zoom is it 125%. I do make sure I click right in the very middle of the track (even on the small ones). Alaways have, always will. I've never gotten a miss diagnosed click, the 5 I've gotten wrong, I got wrong.
