"Universe"
Uni means one
Verse means word.
Universe = one word
In the beginning was the word. And the word was with God. And the word was God.
And for those of you who may someday read my book if I ever publish it, this is the basis for what I hope is a cool theory. :)

Re: Where have all the "DUSTERS" gone?

JD, Check out the latest news flash at http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/blog.php . Not boring at all in my opinion. But the gist is, get ready for Phase 3 and some re-training! (details to come) Dan I am unfortunately having trouble with Quickview, and can't view the Update 6 info. Is there s...

Time vs Gel

This may be a silly question, but how does all the time that has elapsed since the initial scanning affect the quality of the gel? Or does it? I know I've read on several old posts that some of the challenges that are faced during scanning are the inclusions, imperfections and surface quality. Does ...

Re: Questions for Myles

Well, since my stats only cover the top 100, I can't say whether those who may have dropped below that particular arbitrary cut-off point are still 'active' or not, unless they reappear in the published list. Maybe I can help with that a bit... :) I'm one of the above mentioned. After having had to...

I haven't seen this number 1727143V1 come up as a goof. I clicked on the dot on the bottom left and was marked wrong. I hope it's not your goof...well, I do hope it's your and not mine! Just a head's up, Nikita - I wasn't able to load this one from the shortcut you had in there, but I was able to p...

Hi, Chessnut. Here's some feedback on your slides. . 2657616V1 -- Two tracks? This one looks to me like it doesn't actually come into focus until near the bottom of the blue bars (maybe 5 or 6 from bottom). I would probably have selected No Track on this one. . 8464648V1 -- See it very well on third...

I would definitely have clicked on this one too.

Lost another point on this one. Clicked "no track." http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/ss_virtual_microscope.php?frame=-1&next_movie=5480774V1&ondeck_movie=6925069V1&no_record=0&key=8020c578&code=&coords=?-1,-1 I would definitely have also clicked NO TRACK on t...

No, the numbers are randomly generated. But as some statistics claim their is no such thing as random. So it is possible that certain characteristic chains of events appear to occur. But then again, Humans are known to see paterns everywhere, clouds, toast even smudges on the floor seem to contain ...

As you can read here phase 1 covered about 1/3 of the collector. So still plenty to go for. Thanks, Wolter! :) I swear I looked everywhere but just couldn't find that one. So do we know where progress is now? I know we used to have a shaded picture that showed which were done which were left, but I...

Is there any Gel left?

Okay - I'm on a question roll today. :) It's entirely possible this info is somewhere, but I searched high and low and couldn't find it, so... Does anyone know, is there any Gel left? And what I mean is, I see the pictures of real tracks and particles that were found in Phase 1, and they seem to cov...

Do the Slide Numbers have Meaning?

Okay - here's a question I've been curious about for a bit now. I haven't posted it, because frankly I've been hoping I was right and that it gave me a little assistance and didn't want our vigilant team to modify anything based on my note. :D But... with others like me getting very excited when the...

Thanks for the confirm, Bryan.
I can't complain too much, though. I've only gotten 10 incorrect scores so far, and maybe 4 are from bad slides, so I'm not too far off actual. :)

Ooh! Just found this one, and I'm a little worried others aren't seeing it and it might get overlooked, because this looks like a real possibility to me. 3 people have viewed it, but no one else selected. http://stardustathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/myevents_viewer.php?id=8252404V1 Just as it starts to go...

Hi Diamond Girl...do you think they're trying to trick us? LOL. Maybe, since the boxes are so visible, they decided to insert a few randomly to throw us off. They want to make sure we're looking for tracks, not boxes. Well, it's working! By the way, I loved your poem! Very clever! Hi, Elaine. :) Ye...
