Thanks everyone for your help. It explains the sensitivity problem, but I have to agree with ERSTRS, this is totally unfair. My sensitivity was 84.69 and then I worked for 6 hours in two days just to get it up to 84.91. Then I missed one and it dropped to 84.81. And this was after there was no part...

Thank you for the replies from Evelyn and Mike C. Unfortunately it doesn't clear up everything for me. I would like a more details answer for how the Sensitivity is established. What is the math. behind it. Charles Tabor

This may not be the proper place to ask this question, but I can't find a better place. Mym question is "why does my sensitivity rate go up only one or two when I find a particle, but goes down 10/11 points if I miss one. My sensitivity can never go higher this way. I've been trying to improve ...

Sensitivity and specificity

This is my second year doing this search and I'm becoming a little discouraged due to not knowing if I'm doing the job properly. My specificity and sensitivity seem to be low. Can anyone tell me what would be a good margin for those two categories.
