Phase 3 certificates and "autoscan memory"
Dear S@H Dusters: Sorry for the long delay, but we have finally gotten the phase three certificates online. Enjoy! Kudos to our good friends at The Planetary Society for the lovely artwork! In other news we have trained the virtual microscope "autoscan" feature to remember, from movie to m...

Re: Certificates - Phase 3
Hi Folks: Sorry, we started the art department working on those a while ago. We hoped to have them updated before phase 3 launched but were not able to get them done in time. Rather than hold up getting you new data to dust we decided to go ahead without phase 3 certificates. So, once again, sorry f...

Re: Stats under the Microscope

Re: ISPE Update
I can't help thinking that this "ISPE" idea (introducing yet another unnecessary confusing acronym!) is directed more toward the media & potential funders for promotional purposes rather than us regular dusters, just as the original forum Update section has sadly morphed into the fanc...

Status report on six interstellar candidates
We have finished the analysis now of six of our interstellar candidates -- one by Scanning Transmission X-ray Microscopy (STXM) at the Advanced Light Source (ALS) synchrotron at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and five by high-resolution Synchrotron X-ray Fluorescence (SXRF) Microscopy at the...

Downtime - Saturday morning 2008-01-26
Greetings, Dusters: I need to take the system down for an hour on Saturday morning to put in some software patches. I'll just "disable logins", so if you see that message, you'll know it is my fault! :D I'll try to be as quick as possible. Thanks for your patience and understanding! Best w...
