7. Using java script and HTML to write a program that will click the tracks for you while you sleep.
That's what cerealKiller was. It racked up a huge score, so it must have been fairly good.

Personally, I like the vertical scale as it is, but maybe that's just me.

True, but the top 1% is always changing to the upside, so the certificate wouldn't be as hard to win as the same certificate later in the project.

NOT a good idea; Then bad dusters who can't figure out which end is up, or a useless computer program that can't find anything, could all achieve great scores.

That is true, insofar as it's possible to fastforward through the movies from calibration to calibration. However, you would need to manipulate the time spent on the real vs. calibration so as make it look like you weren't cheating. The only practical way to do that would be to use a computer progra...

1. Using a screen magnifier. IE 7 has a good one. 2. Using strong reading glasses to magnify the tracks. 3. Breaking into the Stardust site and raising your score. 4. Breaking into the Stardust site and changing the code so it is worthless. 5. Right clicking the movie to check if it is a real movie...

Wow, you're right. With just a quick right-click, you can tell in a second whether any given movie is a calibration or a real movie. It doesn't say what sort of calibration movie it is, but that doesn't really matter a whole lot. I wonder if you can even figure that out by looking at the webpage cod...

Well, you're correct that right is right and wrong is wrong, but in this case, the scoring seems to me to be an opinion. Admittedly, I have to say that the way things are now seems to me to be the the better way, since if somebody is screwing up, it will show. If, on the other hand, their score coul...

The U.S. has been spending billions of dollars for space exploration which, as you said, a waste of money. Well, I didn't exactly say that space exploration was a waste of money. There's lots to be gained out there in terms of useful knowledge that can benefit us here on earth, that's for sure, suc...

I believe that we can find life only on earth. My position is more of a religious belief. As a Christian, I do believe that there is no conflict between science and religion. Scientific facts only strengthen or must fortify faith in an omnipotent God. I'd definitely agree with that for the most par...

It does look like somebody pasted a square cut from some other place onto a blank picture, and then tried to render it transparent or something. :|

In reply to stardust 1's two posted calibration movies, I would have to say that I'm really not sure you have much to complain about. No offense, but I spotted the tracks in both calibration movies almost instantly, without knowing where they were, and both those tracks are exactly the sort of thing...
